Five Seeds ✿ Ilex Forest ✿ Video

Hello there.

[Here's one former farmer girl in an obvious forest scene. And she's looking quite happy, smiling down at the screen.]

I was wondering if I could get an opinion on what to do about something I've run into here in Ilex. You see-

[She turns the view to show her little entourage of Pokémon eating lunch. The Roselia and Ivysaur are sharing some food, with her Paras skitters between them for a share of his own, getting amused looks from the nearby Sudowoodo. A young Blitzle is near Anissa herself, and her Petilil?

Her Petilil is eating a bit off on her own, but there's a Carnivine levitating over her head. It's not making any move to hurt her though- If anything it's failing at contact in general. Just hovering and staring and worrying its vines together. It tries to tap her once, but jolts back when Petilil looks up confused. Apparently this has happened before. And apparently Anissa finds it funny.]

He's been here doing that since we sat down. I would catch him, but if I do that he'll just be sent back to storage, before he gets to talk to her.

What do you think? Should I give him a chance before I try battling him?

I don't see why not. It doesn't seem like he's going anywhere anytime soon, anyway.

No, it doesn't look like it, does it? I'm hoping I'll still get to later, but first...

You may have to give him a little push, though... Who knows how long it will take for him to make his move?

[Quick, get him up to two hearts! We need that cutscene, Anissa.]

That is true- And he'll follow us right out of the forest at this rate.

But what's the best way to ease him along? I don't want to pressure them.

Hmn... It could be tricky...

Maybe invite him to join you, for now? That way he can still spend time with her and you'll still have the opportunity to catch him later, should you wish. You could even suggest that she invite him herself. Might clue her in.

That could work! Especially if Colleen does it... It wouldn't be right to catch him and make them work together, if they don't hit it off.

Unless your Petilil decides she doesn't like him, probably!

It doesn't look that way so far, thank goodness... But she's a tough girl to read. I've never seen her get angry, even in a battle.

I've got a Munna! Want me to have him talk to her? He'll tell me what she says.

Your Ivysaur is absolutely adorable! When did you catch one of those, Anissa?

Why thank you! But I didn't catch him- That's Craig. I hatched him as a Bulbasaur... Along with Candace, Luna, and Jin.

[And she has none of those three here to point out, but-]

He's close to Ruth, funnily enough.

[As it stands, it should probably be mentioned that Sisuca is talking via candlelight--her Litwick. She's still in Rock Tunnel, and it's pretty hard to see anything.]

Ohh, I've had Paula for a while now...I got her as an Ivysaur. Ruth was your starter, wasn't she? How's she doing, then?

[Oh my- then add squinting Anissas to the scene!]

Very well! She's evolved too, see?

[Her sweet little Budew's a Roselia now!]

She tries and look after a lot of the younger ones... But there's still a lot both of us have to learn and see here!

Like... I can't recognize where you are, for instance.

Oh, congratulations! That's always very exciting. I remember when my starter evolved for the first time.

[But sadly, her starter is lost to the world, thanks to her trip home.]

I'm sure that will come in handy. I have a Pokémon like that, too. But as for me...I don't really know where I am, either. It's really dark in Rock Tunnel.

He's not hurting her. Don't battle him unless he wants to. Or I guess if he attacks you you can.

Oh, I don't want to battle him really! I just to thought that's near necessary to catch him.

And if he's going to come along with us...

If they want they can go into a Pokéball on their own without having to be battled. That's how Deerling joined up with me. Or he could just follow you without being caught.

Oh, really? That, could work... But the Carnivine seems a little wary of me and the rest of my group.

I'm not sure if he's used to people.

Most wild animals aren't. Let him get used to you on his own.
