Hello there.

[Here's one former farmer girl in an obvious forest scene. And she's looking quite happy, smiling down at the screen.]

I was wondering if I could get an opinion on what to do about something I've run into here in Ilex. You see-

[She turns the view to show her little entourage of Pokémon eating lunch. The Roselia and Ivysaur are sharing some food, with her Paras skitters between them for a share of his own, getting amused looks from the nearby Sudowoodo. A young Blitzle is near Anissa herself, and her Petilil?

Her Petilil is eating a bit off on her own, but there's a Carnivine levitating over her head. It's not making any move to hurt her though- If anything it's failing at contact in general. Just hovering and staring and worrying its vines together. It tries to tap her once, but jolts back when Petilil looks up confused. Apparently this has happened before. And apparently Anissa finds it funny.]

He's been here doing that since we sat down. I would catch him, but if I do that he'll just be sent back to storage, before he gets to talk to her.

What do you think? Should I give him a chance before I try battling him?

It doesn't look that way so far, thank goodness... But she's a tough girl to read. I've never seen her get angry, even in a battle.

I've got a Munna! Want me to have him talk to her? He'll tell me what she says.

Oh, that may work! But then, I'll have to bring over Colleen first...

[It is iffy, after all, as the Carnivine shrinks back into the bushes at her approach.]

Colleen, my friend's Munna would like to talk to you.

[Rikku pulls Ty into the screen, who's really shy but happy to help his trainer]

It's okay, Ty. We're just trying to figure out--oh, right. You know that.

[-? Someone's uncertain how this works, but she sits her gear down besides a curious Petilil.]

[Ty starts talking to the Petilil, shyly asking her opinion on the Carinivine]

[-well have fun with that, Ty. Because going by her comments, she hasn't seen the Carnivine yet! He kept ducking when she heard him!]

["...how can you not notice a Carnivine! Anyway, I think he likes you."]

["But it was behind me and... Well.

I- Why do you say that? He doesn't know me..."

Oh, the skirty looks back at the bush that is now a Carnivine hideout.]

["You're a pretty Petilil? I don't know, Caycuh says it doesn't always make sense, and she's got a crush on Marble."]

["Oh... well I don't know him. What am I supposed to say?"]

["Start with 'hi'?"]

["oh- well I, I suppose so..."

Except when she turns back to the Carnivine, he's truly hid in that bush.

...now what.]
