Hello! I just wanted to show my progress with my Budew! And since she's found such a tough little Caterpie, we've decided to try and catch it! Just a little more now...

Okay, Ruth! Absorb!

[Here you go, watchers. One tiny little bud is fighting a bug that actually dwarfs her in size. But indeed, the health-sapping attack helps bring the Caterpie down to a struggling faint, and the Gear swerves a bit as Anissa apparently throws her pokéball-

Just as a loud noise comes from behind her, and this drifts right into sight.]


-what?!

[Too late, the pokéball grabs the wrong target, and against the odds (or, with the help of a willing victim) the capture is made.

Enjoy the silence of shocked Anissa, confused Budew, and escaping Caterpie, before the feed suddenly cuts out.]

I suppose I can just keep looking, at least for a few hours. If not- Are Caterpies common elsewhere?

They're common in general! You can find them almost anywhere around Violet if memory serves. It's been quite some time since I've seen one in the wild though.

Ahaha... That's true! I spent quite a few months in Violet! I think most people do. It's a very nice town to get accustomed to everything in.

...is it dangerous to walk around at night? I wouldn't plan to, but, perhaps a flashlight...?

I wouldn't say anymore dangerous than anywhere else at night... Just the usual wild Pokemon dangers. A flashlight is always a good commodity to have! Preferably one that doesn't run on batteries you can't recharge somehow.

Oh, do they have special kinds, here? I don't have any charging kinds, or electric-types that might work with them.

I imagine I could arrange solar power, somehow, but... Lights for night...
